Hi Bees after having terrible dress regret because my dress was very sparkly and I felt it took attention away from me, and having a few friends say it looked funny on me I tried a dress last week that I loved but I went back to try on my first dress again today that I am trying to sell as so many bees said they liked it on me, I was hoping it would give me a clear vision of what to do and I was expecting to put it on and hate it but I didn
t and am now once again confused, so I am asking once again, Im sorry!, which dress!, I do not have a picture of me in the second dress as the store did not allow photos. Also the second dress I would order in a lace up back, I do not mind that it is plain as it is so beautifully made and would add sparkle through accessories, I am worried the spakle on the first dress takes away from me but maybe I am over thinking it ! I am 5ft 3 and a uk street size 8.

Is the second dress a different material? The first one looks pretty prone to wrinkling while the second looks more floaty and like it wouldn’t wrinkle so much. I like the second dress.

@Eckle: +1. i tried on the first dress when i was dress shopping – don’t you think it’s super heavy? the second one looks like it might be more comfortable and less prone to wrinkling.

@balletbride: I think the second dress looks awesome! It has a classic shape and is a great canvas to work on (with accessories and such).

Since they are so similar and you already bought the first dress, my vote is for #1. I would recommend taking out the bubble hem (I remember you didn’t really like that). The sparkle is beautiful and I think it brings attention to your face.

I don’t like bubble hems. If you’ve already purchased the first dress then put it away and don’t think about it. Get the bubble hem taken out (it’s not hard for a seamstress to change), get it altered to you and steamed before your wedding.

I probably prefer the simplicity of the second dress more, and I think I prefer the ruching on it as well – but enough to justify the extra money you’d have to spend? Probably not.
Unless the second dress costs less than the first, so that there’s only a small difference between what you’d buy the second dress for and sell the first dress for, I don’t know if it’s worth it. The two dresses aren’t THAT different.
That said, I do think you have to feel good in what you wear. Not necessarily love it, just feel that it’s showing you at your best. If the first dress is bothering you so much, your lack of confidence might show through on the day. Though honestly I can’t imagine why, as it looks smashing on you.

Thanks everyone for your votes and comments so far @Eckle and TwoStatesBride yes the first dress is taffeta and the second is organza, I quite like the wrinkleness of tafetta and don
t think the dress is too heavy but am not sure about the beading, I always thought I wanted beading and sparkle but I am not sure if I now like it, is it too much ? I do think it is a really beautiful dress but I feel the other may show my figure better and look softer on me but then I am worried about having no sparkle on my dress and regretting it because when am I going to get a chance to wear a wedding dress again, hopefully never!, I dont mind the bubble hem so much now but I am wondering if the flare starts too low I feel that the other is slightly higher and as it is more at the front it looks different, arrh I`m so confused maybe none of them are right, face palm!

@balletbride: The beading is my favourite part of your dress. I think it’s tasteful and subtle without being gaudy or overpowering at all.
ETA: I don’t care for the way organza flows in this pinned style. I actually prefer the way the taffeta looks (more luxe to me).

Both dresses are beautiful but I love the first one… It has just enough sparkle, the way the fabric lays is perfect and that lace up back is stunning!

I prefer dress 1 – i think the sparkle is actually fairly subtle and the corset back is beautiful – the back of dress 2 looks a little weird on the model to me?
That said, you need to go with what makes you happiest!
