I am having a bit of a melt down, even though I have a year and a month to go. hehe.
I am torn between two dresses…i love them both for different reasons.
The first one – Nestor – i love the bodice, its different and its elegent. Downside if feels a little bit too red carpet glamour and not “bride” enough.
The second one – Gardenia – is gorgeous and flowy – but it also feels like a very common dress that a lot of brides wear!
Both dresses are a size too small, so just squeezed into them, both are not sitting right.
Help. by the way the photos make me a look a little short? not sure why…i am 5″6 and was wearing no shoes…i will be aroudnd 5″9 on the day with the heels i am wearing. i also plan to lose about 4-5 kilos over the next 6 months taking me down to 60kgs.

I think #1 is bridal! and unique and totally flattering on you!

I really like them both.
I totally think that the first one is more “bridal” than “red carpet”, but I like them both.
sorry i realise that doesn’t really help, but be confident that either choice is a beautiful dress 🙂

I think #2 looks so soft and romantic and bridal… I’m not a fan of the jagged fan-like neckline on #1. Plus, I think #2 gives you better shape.

I really don’t like the placement of the brooches on the second one–it’s very awkward looking.
Both have a similar fit on the bottom, but I like the crumb catcher on the 1st, it’s unique without being crazy. It doesn’t look ‘red-carpet’ to me at all.

I like #2. I don’t love the crumb catcher on #1, it’s just a little harsh looking. I love how soft #2 is and I don’t think it is too common looking at all. It definitely has unique features like the broaches, and the side-to-side lines (by the way, they talked about lines like that on What Not To Wear today and said that it was very flattering). Both are flattering – you can’t go wrong!

thanks so much i totally get what you saying…what if i took the brooches off and put the blingy belt on instead ? i did try this…looked better.
argh so confused.

I do really like the “fan” top of the first one, and the bottom one just looks like it is missing something. They do both look gorgeous on you though, you have a wedding dress body! I would say keep looking, and find one that gives you that wow..to where you don’t want to ever take it off!

I just saw where you said take off the brooches and add a belt, I think that would be stunning! Good luck on your search for the perfect dress.

I am not loving the placement of the brooches either. I feel like they had a random brooch and said ‘ahhhh, I’ll put it there!’ and threw it on. It looks out of place. Also, I get what you’re saying about how the first one seems kinda red carpet. But I would choose that one out of the two. I think it’s stunning and I love the sash on it! Flattering on your figure too.

I like #2. I actually find the unexpected broach placement interesting in a good way! Not a huge fan of the jagged edging of the crumb catcher neckline. It comes of as kind of harsh due to those straight lines. I like the flowiness of #2 and the draping at the bottom is very pretty and makes the dress very figure flattering. If I was at a wedding I would be more struck by #2 definitely if the bride was wearing it!

OMG the Gardenia took my breath away. Soooo soft, romantic, elegant and feminine! It shows off your figure beautifully, too! If you want something more WOW for you, whatever that means to you, then keep looking until you are happy. You’ve plenty of time so hang in there! 🙂

I think they’re both gorgeous on you…I voted for #2 because I’m not a huge fan of the crumb catcher neckline of #1. I think you’ll look phenomenal in which ever one you choose, though.

I’m not a fan of the first dress since it has a crumb catcher neckline, I vote for the second gown, it gives you an amazing shape and looks so light and bridal. If your not happy with either dress keep looking until you find a dress you LOVE. 🙂

#2!! It suits your shape better and it is more “bridal” like you said. It’s soft and romantic.
