I picked #1. I think you look amazing in that dress. From your post it seems you love #1 but you’re afraid because it doesn’t fit the vision you always had for yourself. I know its tough to let go of your vision but at the same time if you end up getting the darba are you always going to be thinking about that other dress that made you feel amazing?

I think the dropped waist makes the second dress every bit as trendy as the first, and the blingy belt doesn’t help either.

They both look good, but i think the first is more flattering. The only dresses that I think are going to look timeless are probably incredibly simple ones. But there’s nothing wrong with your wedding dress looking like the time period in which you got married. It is both expected and incredibly hard to avoid.

The first is more flattering, but both look good on you.

they are both beautiful but i think you answered it when you said I felt SO beautiful in it instead of sexy.  i had the exact same issues when picking a dress and ended up picking the one that i felt was so pretty rather than sexy.  i loved the others but knew it was the one.

Without a doubt dress 2! When I saw Dress one I said that looks really nice. But when I saw Dress 2 I gasped and said OMG that looks AMAZING! Plus, I feel if you don’t go for the “dress you have always wanted” you may regret it in the long run.

The ballgown is gorgeous! I like it way better than the first dress.

I think the first dress is very “trendy” and will eventually look dated. The ballgown has a more classic feel about it.

#1 looks messy on the bottom and the fabric  change is so abrupt..

#2 on the other hand..WOW! everything looks smooth, beautiful!!!!! YOUR dress, girl! the mermaids are starting to all look alike (no offense)..

ahh you changed ur mind, i remember you sent me pics of u in the casablanca because i loved it so much lol… i decided on the casablanca for myself because im having a beach wedding and im not the ballgown type of girl. but after reading your posts i am glad you chose #2 because it just sounds like you love it more! go for it 😉 & it is beautiful!  i def. think u should stop trying on dresses tho! lol

on a diff. note i am sure 20 years from now ill look back and my mermaid dress might be dated, but if on my wedding day i look hot and feel beautiful, ill remember that 20 years from now and wont care! plus i dont want something that i necessarily would want to buy again 20 years from now- times change! who cares! lol

Both are beautiful and you look great in both! My favorite is #2. I am having the same issue about whether I want a sexy mermaid gown or fitted dropped waist ballgown. What I’m thinking of doing it getting a second (very less expensive) dress for the reception so I can get my sexy on but have my wedding and pictures in a more traditional classic gown.
