I’m in an odd situation where I am planning a very small wedding for two months from now. My parents don’t think I know about my SO asking me to marry me, so I can’t talk to my mom (my very best friend) about which dress until SO officially asks. Long story short, we are having a very short engagement for the sake of having all family present. And the ring is in the mail somewhere, and I’m waiting for it to arrive. BUT I need to pick a dress and get it ordered, like NOW, I basically have no time. Anywho, I’m having a fall wedding. The ceremony is indoor at a B&B, the reception, is basically a backyard wedding, bonfire, grilling, etc. So I’m looking at very simple dresses.
These are the two I’m in between.
Thank you Bees!

Personally I think they’re both beautiful dresses but I wouldn’t go for something so formal. Anyway, I chose 2nd one. i think the first is too heavy and formal for a backyard wedding.

Well shit… I`m torn too.
For speed and safety
s sake, Id go with #1. It’s a simpler design, and easier to alter locally if there is anything that’s off about the fit/cut etc. I like the chiffon overlay on the second one, but I feel like it’s risky with a china dress, and you don’t have a lot of time to have the dress fixed if it’s not 100% when it arrives.
Also, #1 will be simpler to jazz up with accessories like a sash, or statement necklace etc… if you wish, without worrying about whether it overwhelms the gown, or clashes with it.

I like the second one, but I love the simplicity of the first one. Would be lovely with a sash too, it that’s your thing. x

Probably #1. I feel like #2 might look like 2 different dresses (because the top and bottom are so different) in person.

Thank you ladies for your input!!
I personally like #1 for its sheer simplicity, I am a very basic, simple girl to begin with. I love getting dressed, and wearing make up, but I don’t like anything flashy at all.
I feel #2, is more in line with the season, and my ceremony location. But I’m very paranoid about needing last minute alternations, and this dress being hard to work with.

WOW, those are both absolutely gorgeous dresses, I can see why you’re having such a tough time deciding! I would probably pick the second though based on the fact that this is one of those replica/discount websites, and I’m not really a fan of the quality of taffeta they use, which is pretty much entirely what dress one is made of.

LOVE #2! But the other is wonderful too.
