I have no idea, but I agree, girls with beaded dresses get it done somehow all the time.  Where did you get the dress from?  Can you talk to ther seamstresses?

My daughters dress was like that at the edge.

We were given the option of ordering it custom length, which cost a little more-

or they said it could be removed at the waist/bust and lifted and of course it would require a zipper being removed and put back~ a costly task.  We have a wonderful alteration lady in Tampa who redoes those type dresses and you never know the difference.

 

Look for a quality alteration person, get references and get a couple of different opinions before you do it.  Start early too, for that is a more timely alteration.

Girls get dresses like this hemmed all the time, just take it to a seamstress that specializes in or works with bridal a lot and you should be fine.

They will be able to hem it, it’s just more expensive because of the lace.
