diamondlilly: Just want to say I love your dress. Hmm snow, that’s an issue I wouldn’t know where to start with wedding shoes. I’d normally avoid anything with a heel, but for your wedding day…..

I’m partial to open toed shoes but it’s up to you. I’d check out the brand J. Renee online (I know Nordstrom carries some), shorter heels but still gorgeous designs. And very affordable!

diamondlilly:  it’s a good time for shoes at The Bay now – just got their promo email for ‘Bay Days’ you mentioned you live in TO so I’d head to the one at the Eaton Center, they have such a huge selection and you can get an idea of what you want. Halton Hill premium outlets are great too. There’s a Kate Spade, Bay, Nine West etc. Not sure if Kate Spade has much of a shoe selection there but they have so many gorgeous shoes – might be worth a call to see what they have.

We went to a wedding at the Old Mill in Februray and I wore closed toe pumps and stockings with a knee length dress and was fine! If you plan to have outdoor shots you might want to go for closed toe shoes – it gets cold here! If you plan to have photos outside and in the snow and want open shoes , maybe  bring some boots to wear under your dress for outdoor shots – no one will see under your dress πŸ™‚

Your dress is stunning and I think you’ve lots of options with what ‘goes’ so happy shopping πŸ˜‰

Nine West! Sure they have shoes for $250 but they also have shoes for $100 that you’ll wear again. Mine with tax came to $120 and I wear them all the time!

diamondlilly:  love that outlet! http://torontopremiumoutlets.ca I scored a sweater and pair of jeans at JCrew there last week for under $80 total including tax. I actually checked the receipt after since I was sure there was a mistake lol

Old Mill is beautiful! The chapel had the most gorgeous lighting…it was just so cozy and intimate with the chandelier and snow outside.

We took the TTC there from downtown and I was worried about the walk from the subway to the venue so I actually wore uggs there and checked in a bag along with my coat and swapped shoes – I saw a lot of women do the same πŸ˜‰ That being said, they did a great job on keeping sidewalks clean and un-iced etc I think if you wear heels you would be fine. But I’d def bring boots or maybe a step/something to stand on to avoid wet toes and a wet hem, maybe ask your photographer for tips? If we have a winter like last years it will be cold!
