@2boysmom:  Wow, wow, wow! I love it! We are celebrating our 25th anniversary in a few weeks and the style you chose is close to what I had in mind for myself, but when I saw this emerald cut in the store I fell in love with it and we bought. Congrats!t.  Congrats!

I have a 2.26 carat stone and a very large chunky design on my size 5 finger so I am obviously all about the bling but here is how I feel about the halo.  I think the design/purpose of the halo is to make a somewhat smaller stone appear visually larger.  If you are talking a 2 carat round I think it may actually make your stone appear less impressive than it is.  2 carats is awesome and people should be able to see instantly your stone- not have to visually dissect what is center stone and what is halo.  Just my 2 cents and that being said if you choose the halo the design of the one you chose is very pretty ๐Ÿ™‚

My oh my!! I’m so glad I stumbled on your posts. I am waiting on a reversed split shank upgrade with a 1.8 cushion. Mine will look much different of course because its not a halo and does not have a pave shank. BUT I absolutely love your ring. I’m so glad I have seen yours with the halo. I debatd the halo because the ring we made is a david yurman style (we all know he is MR. HALO!) I ultimalely chose against it simply because I dont feel comfortable with the much BLING right now. I’m excited to think that I can add a halo later down the line!

Congratulations! and keep up the good work, I know it cant be easy all the time!
