When my Fiance proposed, I was soo excited and immediately knew who my bridesmaids would be that I ran right out and asked them. I didn’t do anything cute or clever, just blurted it out. Only after I started looking up wedding stuff did I lean about all the cute ways brides-to-be can “pop the question” to their ladies asking them to be bridesmaids. D’oh!
So, to make up for it, I want to get them a Christmas gift as a thank-you for saying yes and putting up with me. Only, I don’t know what to get!
They are each buying their dress and shoes (which I feel bad about) but I am paying for their hair. One of them is AMAZING with makeup, so she’ll be doing all the girls’ makeup (she offered!). I plan on buying them wedding-day jewelry, but I want each of them to choose what they want (since they chose the same dress, I want something to show off each of their individual personalities!), but that will be part of the pre-wedding gift.
So, back to this Christmas! Any ideas of something to get them as a thank you? Cozy robes or slippers? Nice gloves? Gift cards?
Help! Any inspiration or idea will be appreciated. 🙂

I like your ideas – I would think of each gift and think of which would be the most useful. Gloves would be great for me, but my sister lives in the desert, so not so great for her, you know?
If they’re all local, maybe you could take each of them out one on one for lunch, or do a spa day with each of them to thank them for all they’ve done for you!

When I stood in my bff’s wedding she did a spa day for all us girls and it was great. A mani/pedi was heaven and a great girly bonding thing too! We had a blast!!

@lovelove1028: i agree!! I didn’t realize that there was more to asking bridesmaids than just asking!! I love all the cute ideas on this site, but honestly I doubt I could have waited that long!
I like your Xmas gift idea, but I don’t think they have to match! One though fun about robes is that they might be able to wear them wheN getting ready for your wedding!

I didn’t know we were supposed to ask the BMs in any particular way. News to me! I just asked them. We bought them bracelets to go with their dresses and they paid for the dresses, but we hit a major sale, after searching for months for a dress they’d all be happy with and look good in. Unfortunately, some are out of towners, so pedicures and such is out of the question. I like the robe idea, as long as you don’t have any plus size BMs. Us big girls don’t fit in 1-size-fits-all sorts of things sometimes.

I am doing a spa day that will include mani/pedi and lunch. It’s nothing huge, but I think they will enjoy it. It will be 2 days before the wedding, so then their nails will be set for the big day.

Thank you all for the votes and ideas! I love the idea of a spa day, but one of my ladies lives across the country, and another one of my ladies is a tomboy and would probably feel awkward getting a mani/pedi. :/
I’m still undecided, sadly. 🙁
