I am wearing the Maggie Soterro Adeline Marie Dress, and I will be adding beaded straps. But I worry that I will need to cover more of my shoulders during the ceremony in my catholic church.
I saw this picture on pinterest:
I think this is beautiful, but I worry it might cover up the beautiful beading on my dress.
For reference, this is my dress:
Do you have any other suggestions?

You could just add removable sleeves, or thick shoulder straps to the dress. BUT, I really think that the cover-up you picked wouldn’t cover it up to much, especially if you picked a smaller broach or pin, or even maybe something simple. You can go get a few dollars worth of that tulle at the fabric store ($3 would be more than enough) and you could see if you like the look with your dress.

@tksjewelry: thanks for the suggestions. The beaded straps I am getting are relatively thick (about an inch). I think I will need to double check with my church about what they consider acceptable, so I can plan better. And I would have a better idea for my bridesmaids as well.

First, I would check with the church and see what they require. Some want the shoulders completely covered (like mine) and some are OK with straps or even strapless– it depends on the parish.
Personally, if I had to cover my shoulders, I’d look at a shrug– so it would fit around your back but not cover the beading in the front.
