Coming up with our first dance has proven to be quite the pain in the ass since we dont have a song that we consider “our song”. We have gone through hundreds (literally hundreds) of potential songs but none of them are right. We want to stay away from ANYTHING that would be played at a cookie cutter wedding. Nothing cliche and nothing country. Fiance is a big fan of indie music. Any suggestions?

We didn’t have a song either so we ended up pinching Turk & Carla’s first dance song from Scrubs! LOL
Perhaps you can google it – sounds silly but I found googling things like “non-lame wedding readings” etc actually really helpful!

“First Day of My Life” by Bright Eyes is a good one.

I’m using “Wonderful Tonight”, which is probably a cliche wedding song. But nothing beats the timelessness of Eric Clapton and that song 🙂
