I had found a great sounding recipe for turkey in a slow cooker. I’m pretty sure it involved having a layer of apples on the bottom, followed by the turkey (breasts?) and cranberry sauce. It may have even been posted here.
Since it looks like it will just be Darling Husband and I for Thanksgiving, I was planning on making this with plenty for leftovers.
If you’ve used a similar recipe and it worked out well, please share as well!
Thanksgiving is coming up, and I would rather avoid the grocery stores this upcoming weekend.

I totally remember that recipe, it was totally on here. Let me see if I can find it.

Due to the size of a typical turkey and the size of a typical slow roaster, I would think the recipe deals with a turkey breast, not a whole turkey.
However I love leftover turkey so even when its just Darling Husband and I still make the whole turkey and freeze leftovers, make broth etc.
Slow cookers are pretty hard to screw up so I would do just what you said. If you google the recipe there are lots of variations, but all are pretty simple. Just becareful to not overcook the breast so it dries out (use a meat thermometer)

@MsPiggy: At least it helps to know it was on here!
@ThreeMeers: Yeah, I knew it wasn’t a whole turkey, I wasn’t sure if the posted one was breasts or another part. I plan to do something with turkey breasts though. I prefer white meat, as does Darling Husband. Thanks for the advice about not over-cooking!
