My Darling Husband is English, and we are going to the first of several planned English weddings on one of the last Saturdays in April. It is a noon wedding at a hotel in Guilford. The invite had no info about what I should wear…so I was wondering if anyone had any advice for me about that!

Thanks for your help!

I would say that if they haven’t specified a dress code, then don’t worry. British weddings aren’t really that different from US weddings when it comes to guest attire. Most people wear dresses or smart trousers and tops. Whatever you feel comfortable in!
No need to wear a hat if you don’t want to (it isn’t compulsory!) but there is a trend over here for fascinators. They are hair bands or combs, often feathery.
I would suggest finding a British photographer and having a look at the photos on their sites/blogs to see what the guests are wearing to give yourself an idea of the typical guest attire.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for the tip about fascinators! I love them (and hats) so that is exciting 🙂
I will do photography research–what a great idea!
