I ordered my bridesmaids dresses 12 weeks ago and they just came in last Friday. I found out Sunday that the store ordered my sister the wrong size and it was too small for her. I totally freaked out because my wedding is in two weeks and I know we can’t get a new one in time. I called one of the other girls who had recently lost weight and she was able to swap with my sister. The problem now is that the dress is supposed to be floor length with a small train in the back and because my friend is 5’8 you can see her feet in the front. My question is should I have the other dresses altered to the length of hers or leave them floor length?

Honestly I would leave it, no one really but you and well the BM’s are going to notice the difference

I agree with Sassygrn. I would just leave it. No one else will notice. That’s great that the girls were able to make the swap!

i agree – your guests won’t notice. no use spending extra money to alter the other dresses.

wow, so lucky that worked out!
and, no one will notice, don’t hem the other ones.

My sister has now hemmed her dress to the shorter length. What do I do now?

@meluluh1: so two bridesmaids out of four have the hemmed length?

That is correct. Should I have the others done as well?
