You can ask local bakers, but if they can’t or aren’t willing to help out then I would order the flowers but ask for more than you need so if some break you won’t be as upset.

I would use real flowers, they are just as lovely and much less trouble. That’s what I’m doing 🙂

Do you mean live flowers or sugar flowers? And do you want help making the flowers or decorating the cake? If you are looking for sugar flowers and you want to decorate yourself, you can buy sugar flowers wholesale. I bought a kit for a bridal shower and the cake turned out beautifully! They came fast and they are well-made and last forever.

Artisian Cake Guild in downtown!! The guy teaches people “sugar arts” and can do amazing things with sugar. He is totally fine with providing just sugar flowers or base fondant and not making the cake. He’s making some blown glass sugar balls for me for $2.50 each. I can’t afford a cake by him, they start at $6-$7 a peice, but I can’t find ANYONE else in Seattle that does blown glass sugar art. I’m very excited to work with him and he doesn’t tastings every Tuesday or something.

Easy!  There’s a store called Home Cake Decorator in North Seattle.  It’s a hole-in-the-wall shop owned by a lady named Griel.  She’s awesome and has EVERYTHING under the sun for cakes.  If you can’t find something, just ask.  She’ll have it.  I got the most beautiful, professional-looking pre-made sugar flowers from her, and they keep forever!
