So we went to our florist to see our first mock up for our centerpieces. Our theme is peacock with the main color being purple. We want very large tall centerpieces. I don’t know how I feel about the centerpieces being only color without much greenery or anything white.
Can I get your honest opinions on what you think I should change to make our centerpieces more attractive?

Are those the colors for your wedding?
I don’t feel the all the colors belong there.. the mix of peacock feathers, blue, pink & purple just seem like TOO much.
Do you have white in your wedding? I would suggest white pomanders with either green sparkles in the roses, or maybe some green picks that match the peacock feathers, and then the peacock feathers sticking out of the top

The colors for our wedding started off as shades of purple. However, when we told our florist that our theme was peacock somehow pink and blue ended up in the mix. If anything, I wanted very few bright blue orchids or delphiniums just as accent colors to purple flowers and lots of greenery.
We’re going to have full ivory draping throughout our reception room so there will be ivory in our wedding. I was thinking incorporatiing white/ivory orchids could be nice. I’m just so clueless when it comes to flowers.

I think purple & blue w/ the peacock feathers up top would be tons better than all the colors you have in the first picture. The vase is sort of similiar to yours as well.. I would fill your centerpieces with differant colors/textures and see what you like best.. you could even do submersiable leds & water or something.
And I think if you made this into a pomander for you vase, this would be fab with the dripping green accents !

Swap the pink out for some purple, blue, turquoise or green.

@jenilynevette: I agree, it’s too much. Especially with the pearls, the beads and the feathers.
Also, all the dim colours makes it look fake to me. I think it would be better with stronger colours, like in the blue/purple photo. At the very least, remove the lambs ears and the cabbages… they feel much more appropriate for a rustic/romantic wedding.

Thanks for all of your suggestions!
@eocenia I was worried they look a bit fake as well with the colors!
We’re meeting with our florist again this morning and I’m definitely going to have her remove the pink roses, the blue roses and hydrangea, the lambs ear and the cabbages.
I think I’m going to have her add some ivory roses, another bright purple flower, a lot more greenery and maybe bright blue delphiniums throughout just to make it a bit more vibrant.

I think the flowers themselves are fine. I am not liking the feathers at the top though, they look like an after thought. If your arrangement was more loose with greens, I think the feathers would look more natural.
This is what I mean by loose…
