You can still use them on the tables if you want, there is no rule that all the tables have to match.  Nothing on any of my tables matched except for a general feeling and I got tons and tons of compliments on them.

@tksjewelry: I agree with you. I’m not a fan of the matchy matchy centerpieces and am having more of an eclectic/vintage wedding with an overall theme. When it’s done right it’s beautiful. Maybe a few lower centerpieces to balance the others out. If you’re having 8 tables and from what the picture shows you have 4 vases I’d get 4 of a simuliar color/ shape but maybe lower. I think it will turn out just right.

Maybe get some of a different type and intersperse them throughout.  It would look fine if you have two different types of centerpieces!

What I would do is find alternate vases for the centerpieces in green and plum. If the craft stores don’t have em you may want to look at places like Ross or TJ Maxx. But you may be able to cover a cylinder vase in plum paper or paint a vase.

I also like the idea of doing shorter ones in green.

If you have 6 vases and need 8 centerpieces, I would use 4 of the green ones you have, and buy 4 more shorter vases in a coordinating style  in the purple.

You can use your 2 spare green vases at the guestbook table, at the bar, in the restroom etc.
