So I recently just got married at the end of June and I lost my beloved moissanite solitaire 2 months after the wedding. I spent weeks picking out my ring, and when it arrived I was so in love with the stone I didnt really mind that I didnt like the side profile of my setting. Well, now that we are capible of replacing it (unfotuantly with an asha for the mean time until we can afford a moissanite, or maybe an amora if it comes back) I would like to get something I am totally in love with that can be my forever ring setting so when its time to reset the stone I wont have to think about a whole new ring. So…..here are my options. I really want a timeless setting that I can switch up with other rings(so a solitaire) but the one ring I just cant get over has side stones and I would love to pair it with a plain band. Heres the links:
^Here is the ring I love but is completely differant than my original (side stones, thicker shank)My fear is that in 20 or 30 years it will look outdated. What do you ladies think?
^And here is my original. I love the classic solitaire but that it is a little differant and I can see the stone hanging.
And here are some other options that I love:
I cant decide and since my husband doesnt like any of them he has no opinion. He loves a classic 4 prong solitaire but I love cathedrals and that eng689 setting. All opinions welcome! Thanks 🙂
Oh, and I think Im going with a cz eternity band and a plain gold wedding band to go with the solitaire and I would get a 2.5 mm low dome plain gold and with eng689 setting. All with a 1 ct stone.

@Pegasis22: I like the first option eng 689 as it looks like my own engagement ring with round brilliant side stones. I dont think it will look outdated in the future – it is by no means as classic as the other solitaire settings you like but that doesnt mean it will ever look dated. Plus side stones just have that extra sparkle!
A tip: I think you should edit your original post and include pics of all the rings you like and have a poll asking people to vote. Not many people may be responding because its incredibly hard to cut and paste links into a browser when looking at WeddingBee on iPad or mobile phone

I’m not a fan of plain bands, so I vote the first one. You can never have too much bling 🙂

I’m a big fan of side stones – I have them on my own ring and think they are timeless and classy and I LOVE the sparkle. But, I also think the second cathedral setting with the 4-prong is SO pretty, the way it sort of cups the diamond. I’d try for the best of both worlds and see if they can make a custom – put that second basket on the first setting with the side stones! Don’t know if it’s a possibility, but that’s where I’d go with it! Good luck! Keep us posted – would love to see what you decide on.

I like option 1 and 3. Can you order that first ring with moissanite sidestones? I’d be concerned about cz sidestone durability. I do find that ring very pretty and classic, I don’t think it will be outdated.
I also really like the 3rd one – I like that it’s low set and a classic solitaire.

Finally got my ring! Thanks for the help! I am in love 🙂 And the asha is actually amazingly sparkly too, almost comparable to my old Moissy. So glad I went with the blingy ering and plain band because I love it!

@Pegasis22: I am planning to get that ring at moissco and I’m thinking about getting the 1.25 center stone but am afraid of it not looking good with the band. I am a ring size 6.25. What size center stone do you have? And what size are you? also could you uplaod a picture of a side angle? Thanks!!!

Hey there! Sry it took so long to reply! I am actually in the process of trying to sell this to get back a replacement of my original. I really miss my original, the one I got married with. Here is the listing on diamond bistro, it has more pics and the stats. Good luck!
