Hi – my first post here! ๐
I bought my dress about a month ago and I want to have some idea of what kind of accessories I will wear when I go in for my first fitting. Here’s a pic of the front:

Note: she had the clamps too tight around my lower mid-section at first and I’m aware I look preggers in this picture. Once she loosened up the clamp in that area, the dress is much more flattering!
Back:

When I tried it on, the saleslady also put a sparkly/champagne belt/sash around my waist. But I didn’t think it looked right since there is already a focal point at the waist (the diamond shaped rhinestones where the rouching gathers). But now looking at the picture, the dress does seem kind of plain without it. Or is it just me? Here’s a pic of it, along with an ugly veil she put on me:

Do I need to add anything like a belt to this dress or will having jewelry and my hair done make everything look “finished”?
Basically – I need some objective advice!: Do you think I need to add something like a belt/sash to this dress? What kind of jewelry would go best? Any hair/veil suggestions? I’d like to wear it party down. Thanks in advance!!

I like the dress without the sash. Very pretty.

Before I saw the picture of the sash, I thought “no”, given that the focal point is on the hip. But, you know what? I really really like the pic with the sash. I also love the colour of it.

I like the sash too, but the dress looks fine without it also so that’s up to you! Do you have a close up of the detailing on the hip? That would help me pick jewelry, my dress only had rhinestones, no pearls so I’m going with that for my jewelry.
I bought jewelry for my first fitting… and now 3 months out I’ve totally changed it all LOL so I wouldn’t rush into any jewelry if you’re not sure about it. You can try your dress on again later!

Personally I love sparkle (the bodice of my dress is very embellished) so I would probably add a belt with some crystals or “bling” ๐

I would add a smaller sash, probably, something thin with a little bit of sparkle. Nothing big enough to overpower the detail on the dress! Very pretty, though, it looks amazing on you!

Oh dear- i really liked the veil with your dress. Then I reread your post and saw you refer to it as ugly. Lol
