This is a really cute idea!! Hmm…what about something like a gift certificate for a massage with a little note attached saying something like “to help you de-stress during the planning process”?

You could get a fun tote bag that she could carry all of her wedding-related stuff in. I used mine all of the time! 🙂

@mrsbacon: When I got engaged, one of my best friends (and MOH) gave me a gift certificate to a spa/salon so I could get a manicure and “have pretty nails to show off my engagement ring.”  Laughing  I thought that was so sweet, and I loved treating myself to a manicure since I never do that!

manicure is a brilliant idea! going to have to keep that one in mind. I also second the tote bag

A jewlery cleaning kit to keep her new ring sparkely during all the photos? what about a subscription to bride magazine? or martha weddings? (depending on how close the wedding is)

Also, I’m not sure what your budget is, but Sephora has some nice “Here Comes the Bride“-type bath & body kits.  I know Philosophy makes one, and that might be a fun thing to add to the basket?  (Maybe you’d like to save that for a shower or something closer to the wedding, though?)

You could also make her some Mexican Wedding Cookies if she likes sweets…  I recently assembled a gift basket similar to what you’re describing for one of my BFs and included cookies in the basket, along with champagne, wedding magazines, some fun makeup and nail polish, etc.  Maybe you could also find a “wedding cake”-scented candle?  (Just trying to think of fun girly wedding-themed things to include.  Wink)

I’m sure your friend will love the gift!

I did this for my bff’s engagement…I did magazines, 2 crystal chamapagne flutes from Tiffany, a silver picture frame for future e-pics, a efw cheap wedding movie dvds (bride wars, etc) and the Mindy Weiss book.

I love the manicure idea included in there too!
