This is the stone my Fiance and I have chosen – it’s a 2.75ct antique cushion cut but I am stuck with what type of setting it would look the best! I’m 6.5 finger size but don’t want it too flashy, just brilliant and sparkly!

canadianbride2016: I think I would go with a very simple solitaire setting in platinum; the stone is beautiful and a great size and IMO anything else would detract from it.

thank you 🙂 my jeweller suggested a 3 stone ring with 0.5 ct side stones but I’m unsure of how it might look?

canadianbride2016: Can your jeweler show you the two stones next to yours? I imagine if you saw them together it would help you decide if you wanted them in a setting. Three stone rings are very pretty. A nice platinum solitaire setting would look fabulous too, not too much and not too little 🙂

LOVELY stone, I love antique cushion cuts!
As for the setting, I think a nice claw prong solitaire like this:

Or a classic three-stone like this, which has tapered baguettes on the side would be beautiful:

It’s a gorgeous stone, it’ll be great no matter what you do with it!

I think Leon Mege has some exquisite designs, especially for cushion cuts. Maybe take a look at his collection and see if anything speaks to you that you can get inspiration from? Here’s a few of my faves.

canadianbride2016: I think a 3-stone would take away from the beauty of that gorgeous rock. I love the PP’s idea of claw prongs which would be so beautiful with a solitaire setting w/ that stone. If you want a little more sparkle, add a diamond wedding band like the second pic that
