hi- i am wrtiing my own wedding ceremony. I was wondering if i could access someones creativity.
instead of the old…”who gives this woman to this man” i wanted to do something sweet like, “Bob, do you give your little girl to be married to this man”.
however, I don’t know what to insert instead of “to be married to this man”.
or if i should add anything else.
any thoughts? thanks!!!

We didn’t say anything. My dad walked me up, lifted my veil, gave me a kiss, and simply put my hand into Darling Husband.

I’m on the don’t use words team. Him walking you down the aisle and leaving you with your fiance is a symbol of what you’re trying to find words for. I think it’s nicer that way.

@Moja Milosc: I agree.
And to be blunt, the wording of giving away a little girl to be married to a man doesn’t sit well with me.
