Okay so…here’s the rundown of our wedding
- Outside on a farm in Southern Indiana
- Girls in orange dresses with cowboy boots
- Late afternoon
- Rustic Romance
- Little more casual [BBQ, lawn games, etc…]
Now, I really want the guys to wear suits. Preferably take with orange ties [image 1]. Fiance HATES dressing up [definitely a country boy, lol]. He was really pushing for brown polos with khakis [image 2], until he saw the picture from Blake Shelton & Miranda Lambert’s wedding. Now he is 100% on board with replicating Shelton’s style [image 3]. While I know that our event is obviously less formal than most, I don’t want it to seem like a hoe-down, haha. I know it’s his day too and this is one of the only things he has given his opinion on. I guess I’m just a little worried of people being so judgemental about it, especially since what they wear isn’t something you’ll forget after the wedding,
Thoughts?! Any suggestions and/or support would be greatly appreciated <3

I get that guys sometimes aren’t big on dressing up, but most of them when pressed, will admit they like they way they look when they do dress up.
There are precious few moments in a man’s life that call for dressing up. His wedding day tops that list.
The polo and khakis are way too casual.
Obviously Blake and Miranda were comfortable with him in jeans, but I think the celebrity country singer factor also weighs in here.
A tan suit, maybe one a little less dresssy looking than the one in your pic, would be perfect. He can wear the jacket with jeans on other occasions and the pants with a white shirt for many others.

I’ve always loved the jacketless suit look, where the guys wear dress pants or khakis and a dress shirt with a tie, but no jacket. It’s not as formal but it still gives the guys a distinct look.
Something like this:
