You don’t have to invite cousins you don’t know. Out of one family unit aunt.uncle + 3 adult kids I only invited one cousin.  Why on earth would I invite cousins i haven’t seen or heard from in 20 years.  I don’t even have their contact info.  If you still feel bad about it put them on your B list.

How many people are you over if you invite everyone?  Becasue not everyone’s gonna go.

If they’re adults, you need to send them their own invitations.

Have you considered doing an A list and a B list?

Question: Why would you invite a complete stranger to share one of the most important days of your life with you?

Family isn’t about blood lines. It’s about the people who share your life with you and make it a better world to live in. I vote for inviting your true family and not the ones who are only family according to ancestry.com.

If you’re inviting exactly 150 people, you will more than likely have quite a few less than that actually attend.  Not everyone you invite will attend (I’ve honestly NEVER known that to happen).

What is the likelihood that these aunts and uncles will travel for the wedding?  Have your parents talked to them about your wedding, to get a general feel for who will be making the trip?

Honestly, if you only have 160 invites, go ahead and invite everyone.  There is no way you arn’t going to have 10 declines, sorry it’s just true.  i doubt anyone ever had 100% attendence at their wedding when they invited more than just immediate family.

No reason to complicate and hurt people’s feelings, they are your cousins, so you may not know them, but you may want to know them in the future, why not.
