(Closed) Help with invitation wording. Any advice, mistakes?

The only thing I’d suggest is saying “half past five o’clock in the evening”

Actually, I’d fix the capitalization. It is basically one long sentence, so there should not be any capitalization except for proper names and the month and day; year should not be capitalized. Also, I would use “half past” rather than “half after” unless you are not in the U.S. Usually, I’ve seen a separate crd for reception information, but if you will include it on the invitation, then perhaps in the bottom right hand corner?

Ms. Jane Smith

request the pleasure of your company at the marriage of their daughter

Beezus Lynn

to

Mr. David Jones

son of Mrs. Joana Jones and the late Mr. James Jones

Saturday, the tenth of August

two thousand eleven

at half past five o’clock in the afternoon

at The Hotel Weddingbee

One Weddingbee Way

Blissfulinlove, Nebraska

@beezus: I recall reading somehwere that 7:00 begins “evening” and anything prior is afternoon (unless it’s morning Tongue out).
