I should expect that most people know to arrive slightly early for a wedding ceremony. In fact, guests MUST show up early, because the procession is supposed to start at promptly the starting time (in your case, 6). If you truly worry that your guests will be late, you may wish to let them know verbally (or through friends or family) that it starts at promptly 6.

Typically, when I am a wedding guest, I try to arrive anywhere between 5 to 30 minutes early. So that leads me to a question. How can the ceremony start right at 6 if no one can enter to be seated before 6? You may wish to pose your planner that question if you don’t know how to answer it. I just worry you might end up with all your guests hanging around outside the doors for several minutes.
