I too felt overwhelmed when I first tried looking at invitations.

I don’t like the whole ‘matchy matchy’ part of weddings. Our colours are chocolate brown and blue, but our invitations don’t resemble that. Our theme is wine and autumn, and our invitations resemble that. Try to focus on a theme to narrow it down.

I did Vistaprint: Oversized Postcards 6×9 and then regular post cards for the RSVPs.

Invitations has yellow leaves, RSVP has white wine, assembled with a yellow belly band. I’m quite happy with them.

It was tough trying to narrow down colors for our fall wedding. I didn’t want it to be to matchy matchy. Our wedding colors are burgundy, aubergine, and dark plum. Our invitations are ivory, brown, and gold, and our Save The Dates are Orange, black, beige.

There is a website that I found through the bee called magnetstreet.com. This is where I bought my Save The Date magnets, but they also have all kinds of wedding invitations. You pick the template that you want, and then you can personalize it to match your color scheme. You can also order sample invitations for free. When I received my STD’s, they included a catalog of their wedding invitations. Inside were two invitations, color palettes, and different types of paper they use so you can get an idea of their paper quality. I was really impressed with it. Their paper quality is very good. So check out their website, play around with it to see if you can come up with a color scheme that you like. They have some fall themed wedding invitations that your Fiance may like. Good luck
