Between those two, I like the cufflinks.  I just dont know many guys that would use a locket ever.

I’ve never heard of the cuff link lockets, but I really like that idea. Maybe you could add a dab of some glue to the back of the photos to keep them from falling out.  I think he’s gonna love either one, because it comes from your heart!

I like the cufflink idea just because I have never seen it before and that is really cool sounding 🙂 I think that it is great that you want to do this for him 🙂

@kingytobe:  My FH lost his dad and it still tears him up all the time, he didn’t want to do anything public to remember his dad so I bought him a locket, had the picture put in it, and had it engraved.  He will wear it behind his lapel at the wedding, his way of having his dad with him on his day.  He hasn’t seen it yet, but when I told him what I wanted to do he started crying and was so touched at the idea, it was exactly the way he wanted to remember his dad.

@kingytobe: a local jeweler, Borsheims, they are on par with Tiffany’s.  Most decent jewelry stores will have one, including Things Remembered.   I had them change out the chain for a fancy safety pin.  I can’t wait till he sees it, I picked out one that goes with the look of his dads watch that he has.  Knowing my FH, he will pick up on that.

Here is a link to them.  I highly recommend them, they do all our jewelry and every lady from Omaha would too.  My FH is still scared to walk in there by himself, the place intimidates him with all the bling and high price tags, but in reality they have something for everyone.

@kingytobe: I’m so sorry.  I didn’t mean to offen you.  I was just casually thinking about the guys I know and thought the cufflinks might be a better option for a guy than a locket.  I just thought they might be used more. And when i said cufflinks, I meant the locket kind that you mentioned, not generic ones. No disrespect intended.  I think it’s great you found a unique idea that with be personal and thoughtful.  I was just sharing why I voted for the picture cufflinks over the locket on a chain.  🙁 Again, I really didn’t mean to offend.
