I’d like to redo my son’s room (He’s 6) with a loft bed and a whole new look. Any ideas/pictures? Google is coming up short-I’m only getting pictures that look like they’re from a cataloge- not actual rooms.

I don’t have pictures, but I had a loft bed from around 9 y.o. Until I moved out. My dad built it himself out of 2x4s that were varnished obviously to avoid splinters. It made my room space like double because there was no bed on the floor and it was like living in a tree house. I loved it!

@MissFireFlower: Try houzz.com (you have to sign up but they have tons of great inspiration photos) Designers and home oweners upload photot of their spaces and you can even ask questions about how the accomplished the design. Also of course pinterest has a bunch. I wrote “loft bed” in the both seaches and got a lot. I really depends on your style, budget etc… 🙂

My friend had one when I was younger (obvi haha) that her dad built & it was like dry-walled/finished, not like a bunk bed sorta thing. It was permanent, but it was also probably a queen size that she could grow into. Since so much space was alleviated with no bed, she also had a little couch & a cute little set up that was awesome when we had sleep overs!
