Ok, so this is me…
I’m having trouble deciding what I should do with my hair and make-up. I’m thinking something a little curled and in a side bun because I don’t want to be messing with it all day. My hair doesn’t hold a curl very well, so I need something that won’t drop by the end of the night.
As far as make-up goes, I have no idea what to do. My complexion will be about this color at the time of the wedding (in June).
I’d appreciate any advice!

I think that we are similar in the skin tone department. I had a lightly smokey eye and kept the rest of my makeup natural since I’m not a big makeup girl.

I imaging a good hair dresser could do a style with curl and have it stay in. Do you have a picture of your dress? That might help us out.
By The Way – are you at Cheesecake Factory in that pic? 🙂

Were you thinking a bun like these? I like them. I think if you’re hair doesn’t hold curl well then maybe don’t have many curled pieces down (since they can get looking “straggly” when they start to fall).

Or you could embrace the way curl falls out of your hair and do more of a messy bun (although I think it would look chicer to have it pulled back neatly with the dress you’re wearing).

Haha I can’t believe I recognized that upholstery!

I think a tan smokey eye would look great on you. It looks like you have green or light brown eyes. Physicians Formula has some awesome trio smokey eye like this one

I have straight hair that doesn’t hold curl too well either. My complexion is lighter than yours, but here is what I did hair and makeup wise: (Nicole Wagner did my hair and makeup for all you Portland, OR bees)

Thanks @futuremrs–it was nice to be able to work with straight hair and not have to worry about it holding curl!

also the eyeshadows are amazing and come in awesome quads so they put the colors together for you (id reccomend buying brushes as well)

the colors are misrepresented online, but id reccomend Day 2 Night Ethrael Brownstone and Butternut as quads that i love
Also they have all sorts of coupon codes that you can google (my favorite is Carolina which gives 50% off)
its’s so cheap its worth trying if you dont like it you havent lost much

I would try to go for a youthful look for you. You are naturally beautiful and young. Too much foundation would cover up your natural rosy glow and freckles and maybe age you a bit. This pic isn’t of a bride but it’s a nice palette. Soft warm browns on the eyes and soft pink lips, easy foundation.
