You should try going to a sephora or pretty much any make-up counter at a mall. They can show you how to apply everything and sell you all the products you need.

If you don’t wear makeup at all, maybe you should go try a few looks at makeup counters to see what you look in different colors and styles. The makeup stalls usually do the whole face for you at a very low fee. I got the whole look done for $25, not sure if it was a promotion or not. What style of makeup looks good on one person might not look good on another. You should try to find a celebrity or otherwise that you resemble and see their looks.

Look up makeup tutorials on YouTube as well! There are sooooo many artists with different skin tones and skin types and make up styles. The most important thing that helped me is moisturizer/skincare. I’ve found the type of moisturizer I use and when I use it makes a huge difference in my makeup application.

I definitely do think she is wearing blush, and also a translucent powder over her foundation. I would say also classic lash extensions, not just falsies. But I could be wrong about that one.

Sorry I’m not more help! I wouldn’t know where to start with giving a step-by-step because everyone’s skin and routine is so different.

In my area if you go to Sephora, you can make an appointment for a free makeover. I’ve done it and got awesome tips, as well as finding the right kind of make up to purchase. At the end of the appointment I had to spend 50 dollars on product and that was easy to do with all the suggestions made by my makeup artist. I highly recommend doing the make over with tutorial.

As for the pics of Gabrielle Union you posted, she’s definitely wearing foundation, I’m sure a concealor, finishing powder of some kind, what looks to me as a peachy blush, lipstick, eye shadow, eyeliner, lash extensions or falsies and her brows are also sculpted/filled in.

I was on a budget when I went to Sephora so I couldn’t buy ALL the products that were used for my makeover.  I just got what seemed necessary for my face. Like I have dark circles under my eyes, so I got a good quality concealor. I also wanted the foundation and smudge proof eyeliner that was used on me. But for the eyebrow sculpting thing I just went to Sally’s and bought a cheap 5 dollar kit. I also buy all my eye shadows and blushes/bronzers at TJMaxx or Marshall’s. Once you have the techniques from your makeup artist, you will know what to do when it comes to putting it all on your face. And hopefully they can let you know what you can skimp on (drug store version vs high quality product). Good luck!!
