Any breakfast, brunch, or lunch Bees out there?? I am stumped as to what kind of music to play at our reception! On the one hand, I don’t expect people to dance much (about 120 ppl), but on the other, I don’t want anyone to fall alseep!
p.s. Yup, we are friend-emceeing/ipod-ing our wedding. Thanks!

I love hearing the romantic classics a la Harry Connick Jr, Michael Buble, etc. around lunchtime. Maybe something like that while you’re serving and something more upbeat for dancing?

@aekc: You can never go wrong with the classics… One band that comes to mind is The Beatles.
– Strawberry Fields Forever
– Here, There and Everywhere
– Here Comes the Sun
And the list goes on and on!
We actually had Beatles themed ceremony music and it was a HUGE hit.
Artists that have stood the test of time should please the majority of your guests. However, I am a strong believer that the bride and groom should choose songs that reflect them as a couple.
What kind of music are you two into?

We had a luncheon!
Our playlist was made up of “restaurant music” (Really, that’s what the playlist we downloaded was called)
It was a mellow mix of 70s-Now music that you don’t really hear.

@aekc: Brunch bee here!! We’re doing instrumental music – and not very loud. We really want people to be able to hear each other!! We won’t have dancing but plan to have a photobooth.
