The title pretty much says it all, i am after old hollywoon glamour hairstyles. I’s like to have my hair down. With a sculpted look. I had my hair trial not long ago but the style i chose fell out after only an hour. The hair dresser is giving me a free retrial on Tuesday so i need to find something by then. Please help ladies.
I have long brown hair, as mentioned i’d prefer a style which has my hair down. I normally wear it up day to day so the opposite would be great 🙂
Thanks in advance

I love fixing my hair this way. I am thinking you may need a better hair spray to hold it in if it fell out so soon!
I hold the strand of hair in my hand & wrap it around the barrel of my curling iron to get these curls: (Also I brush through them.)
Same thing here only without brushing through them:
But it looks alot more “old hollywood” when you brush through them! 🙂

@Sweet.Sugar.Rose: Thank you! your hair looks beautiful. My hairdresser did my hair and set it with like super cement lol, but it still fell out. She had pinned curls to my head which i loved but they didn’t last long at all 🙁

@Toastymama: You’re welcome! & Thank you! 🙂
Wow, really? :/ Is your hair super thick & naturally super straight?
You could ask her about maybe curling your hair the night before, then her redoing them the next day. Maybe they would hold better? Otherwise IDK. 🙁

did the hairdresser use rollers or a curling iron? I found that my hair tends to hold the curl better with hot rollers…and definitely get some heavy duty hairspray and styling creme!

If you want a vintage look that holds, you need to ask your stylist for a wet set with setting lotion and rollers. You will need to sit under a dryer until your hair is fully dry, let it cool, remove the curlers, and style from there. I guarantee your hair will hold. I’ve done MANY period and vintage inspired hairstyles this way and it is THE KEY to helping it last all day without piling on the product (plus your hair will smell like flowers)!
