I’m doing a popcorn bar too, but am going to get plain popcorn, maybe from this site, http://www.kernelencorepopcorn.com/natural.aspx then put shakers filled with these seasonings http://www.kernelseasons.com/shop_seasons.php, very similar to how they did it on here http://www.pnpflowersinc.com/2011/10/styling-rustic-popcorn-bar.html

I feel like this way I can get a lot more flavors for guests to choose and customize themselves. I’m going to get cute striped bags, and print out some stickers for them to close the bags with. On the shakers, I’ll just buy cheap shakers from the dollar store then print labels, you could change the name of the flavors to be tailored to your wedding.

Wow! What a great idea. I love it and want to use it at my wedding in a year. I think I’ll add some potato chips and hand wipes too.

    Very clever.

@Ekristine:  I see you made your choices, but I did want to add that you could make up your own names, even for the “regular” ones! Like white cheddar could be “Bridal veil” or something. If it was orange cheddar it could be “Golden moments”.

we did a popcorn bar and ordered from kernelencorepopcorn

AMAZING!   And I live in toronto and had it shipped.  The flavours are amazing, everyone LOVED how fresh the popcorn was etc.   it shipped to the border in 4 days and was still super fresh for our wedding.

@Fruitypebbles193:  ummmm….. I forget!!   We ordered 2 bulk bags of just butter/salt, then a grape, banana, a spicy one that I forget the name, and I forget the other 2 flavours.   We also ordered some of the popcorn balls for decoration.  We didnt order any of the chocolate ones because they may have melted into a mess on the 4 day journey so we didnt take the chance.

and it was pretty cheap for all that we ordered!   Like $265 for popcorn for 120 people.

I would probably try a few kernals of the novelty ones, and then go to TOWN on the regular flavors like butter and cheddar, mmmm….

@Ekristine:  We’re doing a pop corn bar too! We’re going to have a big barrel of plain butter pop corn and about 5 flavour toppings so people can choose what they want. Also we are going to have on one side white cheddar and on lth eother carmel corn. Those seem to be popular flavours.

@RockStar33:  I was just looking at that website. You enjoyed their popcorn? What did you do for the actual bar set up and bags?
