I am looking for a moissanite RHR. Is it better to source the stone then have someone set it? Or is it better just to find a ring and purchase the entire thing?
I am quite a novice when it comes to moissanite. I don’t know what to look for or what to stay away from.
Does anyone want to do the legwork for me, please?
<$450 Is that even possible?
Also, feel free to post your moissanite!

For <450 you’re going to have to go with one of the Asian vendors like Provence, Starsgem or Tianyu. Just do a search for these and you’ll come up with dedicated threads with contact info, designs, CADs, prices and all the rest. Good luck!

JTV has beautiful moissanite by Charles Winston and definitely in that price range….in sterling, it’s more for gold. They do have a lot of choices so check them out! Good luck in your search and keep us posted when you get your ring.

Why not check loupetroop.com and diamondbistro.com and look for something preloved. It may be easier with your budget and there are some beauties out there. I have done both, completed rings and stone then setting. Easier to pick a ring you like.

I’ve seen great listings of pre-owned rings on Diamond Bistro, some of barely been used at all. You can find a beautiful ring for that price range!
