I am having a rustic wedding with tree stumps, mason jars with dried lavender, wrapped in burlap and lace. With hay bales at the ceremony and cowboys boots for my brides maids.
I am looking for something to hang behind the head table. The head table will be directly below this loft (in picture). I was thinking of candles (the fake light ones) hanging at different levels in mason jars. Or well I really had no other ideas. Ribbon? Burlap bunting? But I need something!
Please help me brainstorm ideas.

I think the mason jars with candles sounds really cute. You could also find pieces of wood to make a cute banner. Each letter on a different piece of wood. Then you could string them all together with some plaid ribbon or even a sheer cream colored ribbon.

How about a quilt? You might pin a banner or something across it.

I was finally able to upload a pic. I love the quilt idea but the area is quite long and high.
Thanks for your help so far.

I like the idea of mason jars with a candle.
I dont know where you can buy these but these lights would be awesome too.

I like the burlap bunting idea. We don’t have as beautiful backdrop as you seem to have but we are planning on burlap bunting to hang from our Wedding Party table.

What about burlap banners like these:
The “Happily Ever After” one is cute. Or you could do your names or some hearts on them.

What about getting a piece of wood lattice, staining it, and putting moss initials in the middle of it and trailing faux ivy and small flowers throughout like a trellis?

@MrsLongcoatPeacoat:That sounds beautiful.
I am just stuck on the size. As you can see in the photo, it is a long, high area. I am still stuck. I like the wicker lights but can’t seem to find them. I do have access to the round ivory lanterns you often see in weddings. But they don’t have the rustic feel I like. I love the bunting idea and will probably hang that from the table but feel it might be lost or not hang right from the balcony…

I love the grapevine balls with twinkle lights in them. You can get the battery operated lights… you could do different size balls hung at all different heights, that would be so pretty!

How about renting some big trees with lanterns on them?
