My wedding is in 11 days and I am having a hard time finalizing my seating chart. What is the proper way to seat your guests? Do I put my side of the family on one side and the grooms on the other? Or, do I keep families at the same table and just mix up the tables? This is frustrating!!!! Thanks for your help ladies!!!

You can do whatever you’d like—whatever is easiest and whatever will make your guests most comfortable. In general, your guests will be more comfortable with and around people they know, but that’s not to say you can’t force them to mingle a little. 🙂

Its your world! Do what you guys want to do. Although, the banquet manager (DOC) at our venue told us that we should mix it all up a bit. It gets people talking that might of never spoken before, which livens things up!

we like to be with people we know, so we tried to do that. usually you don’t get to see all of your family that often so it’s nice to be able to catch up at weddings, i think i would be upset if i was sitting with a stranger instead. of course you can’t do that with everyone b/c it’s just not that easy, so if we had to put people together that don’t know each other we just chose the most outgoing people.
