I had the idea of using chocolate numbers for table numbers. It is a great idea but now we are stuck.
We need a way to secure these to a base or any other way to display them! We have numbers 0-9. The numbers are roughly 4″ tall and at the most 3″ wide. The only number we’ve had success is the number 1.
Any ideas, suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I am sorry that I don’t have any ideas for you but I just wanted to say what an awesome idea this was! I lOVE IT! The only negative I see is if you get a chocolate lover like myself who would try nibbling on it and ruin it before another guest arrives and can’t find table #2 because it’s already been half eaten and so it now resembles a question mark =) lol…

could you possibly also make the base out of chocolate and attach them together with modeling chocolate and/or some other sort of pliable edible (I’m thinking along the lines of royal icing, etc)?

I agree with bebefly, royal icing is definitely the way to go. I’ve made a bunch of gingerbread houses using only royal icing to hold the pieces together–that stuff dries like cement! You can use it to “glue” the numbers to another food item or to a board.

@BuzzBuzz: Thank you so much! I’ll definitely look into that route!

Crisis averted, the royal icing worked!
Thankfully, I’m a baker on the sider and had some handy I could whip up! Thanks everyone!
