I went to both Aruba and Panama (separate years) in early December and experienced little rain. Panama was VERY rainy in the rainforest, but that is to be expected. It looks like November is the rainiest month in both places, but hopefully the rain would start to taper off toward the end of the month, when you go. Both places had really good dive spots.

This article is areally extensive overview of the best places to honeymoon in November. It’s so long I didn’t read the whole thing, but you’ll notice that Africa and Asia are in the top. This is a UK article, so if you are not the in the UK, the travel times will be off, but it’s still a good reference for weather. I recommend looking into Fiji, as November is one of their best months, and I have heard only great things.

ETA: ok, now I feel like MY head is going to explode. Different websites say November is a great month and then apparently it’s the start of Fiji’s wet season. I’m so confused! I feel for you bee.

alishac:  We went to Kona, HI on the big island, it’s the best diving in Hawaii which was pretty much all we did on our honeymoon, plus it has awesome sandy beaches for lounging.

The best part for us was that we were able to book a full condo for the same cost as a hotel, so we had tons of space for gear and a full kitchen so we could cook some meals ourselves when we got tired of eating out every meal.  Plus, DH went on a fishing trip in the first few days and cought a mahi mahi and we spent most of the rest of the trip eating it with breakfasts and lunches and even a dinner or two.  We love to cook, so this was a huge up side for us.

If you’re interested, PM me and I can send you a link to the condo we stayed in, the couple who owns it were awesome.

alishac:  We’ve been in every time of year.  Our honeymoon was july/august, but honestly, their weather doens’t change much with the seasons being that close to the equator.

Another fun place is Belize, we went in the “off season” last year in November and it was BEAUTIFUL! The diving is a really great too, and if you have the time and interest, I strongly recommend visiting the blue hole! We stayed in San Pedro which is a tiny little beach town where everything is walking distance and was absolutely wonderful.  All of the hotels are right on the beach.

We got married on Nov. 22 and went to Jamaica the week after. The weather was perfect. It did get cloudy the last day but we still had a week full of sun and low humidity which was a huge plus. I highly recommend Couples Resorts.  We stayed at Tower Isle and had an amazing time.

We rented a condo in Aruba. My favorite beach there was Arashi. All of the beaches were beautiful though. We went to Baby Beach, which is pretty, but is right next to a giant factory or plant, or something. My favorite things about Aruba were that it never got humid, always had a nice breeze and it was easy to find your way around. We rented a car and found it easy to get from place to place.

We traveled all around Panama and stayed in boutique hotels or Eco-hotels. Bocas Del Toro had the best beaches, in my opinion, and I found incredible sea shells there. I could live in Panama City. It is so cosmopolitan with amazing architecture in the old parts of the city. The country as a whole was fantastic, and tourist-friendly.

In Belize it was the tradewinds paradise villas and in Kona it was here: http://www.homeaway.com/vacation-rental/p333544

Especially for scuba trips, we prefer to stay in condos over hotels because they give you so much more room and freedom, and we’ve found that they’re about the same price per night in the end, and even a little cheaper if we aren’t spending so much eating out for breakfasts and some lunches.

alishac:  I have so many thoughts on this!  fellow diver and beach lover and rain disliker here!

first of all, have you been to the Cayman Islands?  Weather should be good at end of November and Grand Cayman diving is some of my favorite ever.  I was there in April and every dive was warm, clear, easy, beautiful reefs and sea life… it’s a totally safe island with lovely beaches and plenty of nice accomodation and restaurants for a honeymoon feel.  one of the other cayman islands might be even better!

Another idea is Curacao, I stayed at the Lodge Kura Hulanda and absolutely loved it and it would be perfect for a honeymoon.  Diving was quite good (better than Aruba to my mind, tho Aruba overall is a great place to visit).  I was there in October and the weather was great.

went to Belize earlier this year – LOVED it!  I stayed on Caye Caulker.  diving the blue hole was… well to my mind it was overrated but I’m glad I did it.  The boat trip out there is an unbelievable nightmare tho.   in general the diving in Belize was pretty good, but from Caye Caulker at least, it was pretty expensive.  I think the most expensive diving I’ve done anywhere.

Hawaii is generally nice weather.  I was on Maui last thanksgiving I don’t think there was a single day of rain.  Didn’t dive tho.  Went to Kona for diving a couple Septembers ago – loved it.  I love Hawai’i in general and the diving there is pretty good although cold and expensive.

don’t go to the Mayan riviera unless maybe Cozumel (which I haven’t been to) the diving there was super disappointing except the Cenotes which were amazing, but only if you love caves (I love caves).

Since you only have a week, I’d skip Fiji unless you live in LA, because it’s a really long flight.  I went last September and it’s amazing, and the diving was good (Taveuni) but check the moon because it was full moon or whatever and the currents were crazy.  couldn’t even do some dives because it was moving too fast.

I seriously can’t imagine you wouldn’t love any of those places.  you can’t go wrong!  you are going to have an amazing honeymoon!

I’ve been to both the Dominican Republic and Jamaica in the winter. Beautiful weather and wonderful vacations! Don’t know about diving. We are looking at Bonnaire (near Curaçao) for our honeymoon. Don’t know what it’s like in November but they have gorgeous diving.
