Don’t go with a “Good” cut. You probably actually had one of those to begin with. It isn’t a decent trade. They claimed you had a H&A (which is a superior cut) — I imagine they’re standing by that — and exchanging to appease you and they want to trade it for a SMALLER good cut? Not a fair deal.

I have both round and princess cut. I love rounds more. Anyways here is my .83 carat princess cut diamond. My ring size is 3.5-4 depending on the time of year.

My understanding is that a round has more brilliance than any other shape.  If you looking for color & brilliance go with the round.  It’s classic.  If you are looking for modern than go with the princess cut.  update us with a pic of your choice, good luck

AGS grades princess stones for light performance which would ensure you have an ideal cut stone.  Whiteflash sells them under their “A cut above” line.  I would ask your jeweler if they can bring in some AGS0 princess cut stones and watch them look at you like “huh?” LOL.

For example, this 0.704ct G VS2 A Cut Above super ideal is going for $2671 USD.

Can you see your new stone options and your old stone together? Why are you unhappy with the current stone? It’s hard to say without seeing them.
