Hello Ladies!! Im having a bit of a dilemma here. Ok, so I found this church that I absolutely LOVED!!! It is perfect for the wedding and it also has a reception hall that is to die for that is connected…that’s right…everything in one place. My problem is they will not allow us to have our first dance but will allow music during our sit down dinner reception!!! I do understand that it is a church, but we will be husband and wife and will not be doing any dirty dancing. I am ok with them not allowing other guests to dance, dj, etc so that’s not an issue. So we have been looking for other places to have the wedding and reception and the prices are triple. The church and reception hall are $500 for both!!! The new place which is not a church and does allow dancing for bride, groom, and guests is $1500 for both. That puts us at an extra $1000 plus the cost of a family friend to dj for $200…so an extra $1200 to dance. Do you think that it is worth it to have the first dance and maybe a few people dance? We are not partiers but his side of the family like to party/dance. If we go with the church for both, how do we entertain our guests so they don’t get bored. I just don’t want to look back and see our wedding as beautiful but a little on the boring side. HELP!!!!
