- Wedding: September 2017
I know of very few brides on here who’ve used a Juliet Cap with their veil, and the ones who have are using the newer, more romatic version of them. My mom’s Juliet Cap is my something old for my wedding – and she couldn’t be happier because I specifically asked for it. I do want to change it slightly, but also keep it’s integrity because she did make it for her wedding to match her dress.
The question I have for the bees is should I remove the blusher and put in a birdcage, don’t put in a veil at all, or replace the blusher? I’m leaning towards none of the above – removing the blusher and then making a clip for a birdcage so I can wear the cap the entire night.
AND! I want to do a vintage style hair, but I haven’t found any pictures of styles that I’m super jazzed about with a cap – I have just-above-shoulder length hair and will be doing my own. Maybe just vintage curls with a pompadour and swept back sides?
Here’s a pic of the cap – please note that I’m adding the blue flowers to one side of the cap, and that the red mesh is just was they are sewn to for packaging and will not be in the final look.
For reference, this is what the veil looks like when put on the head (this one is just shorter than the bride in the main picture).
