My BFF is getting married next summer and I’m her MOH. We have plans to hang out on her negative one anniversary this weekend, and I wanted to surprise her with something fun to celebrate the one year countdown.
I’m on a budget, so I decided to write 365 wishes on slips of paper and put them in a jar, one for her to read each day. Some of the wishes are very personal to them, others are related to travel, family, food, holidays and more.
(For example, “May you be each other’s best listeners,” “May you hear your song on the radio,” “May you make s’mores on the campfire,” “May you read side-by-side.”)
But 365 is a LOT and I’m running out of creativity. So what would you wish for a soon-to-be-married couple? I’d appreciate any and all ideas! Thanks, bees!

I’d recommend doing 52 wishes and have them open them every Saturday up until the wedding (or whatever day of the week their wedding is on).

@Mrs.KMM: Thanks. I may end up going that route if I don’t get a serious dose of inspiration soon. 🙂

I did a countdown type thing for a friend once – and ended up using a lot of love quotes (vs. wishes). What if you google love quotes and see if you like any of those – some can be super inspirational…. I think I did about 100, and even that was challenging….
You could also have discussion questions – like – tell each other what a favorite quality is… or it could be instructional – do ‘x’ for each other today.
I think if you mixed it up (so it wasn’t all just wishes) you’ll get there!

@oracle: Oh, I really like the idea of including quotes and little things for them to do for each other. Thanks! I think that will be a big help.

Definitely include love quotes! What about including memories or photos on important dates?

What an adorable idea! Here are my wish ideas:
May you slow dance in the living room.
May you thank God for each other every day.
May you do the dishes together after a good meal.
May you say I love you to one another every morning and every night.

What a good friend you are! I’m a little jealous…in a totally nice sort of way : )
May you always remember why you fell in love.
May you always be best friends as well as lovers.
Read each other a story. OR Read a book together.
Write each other a love letter. (My FI and I are writing letters to exchange during our first look instead of writing vows. It’s so private and intimate and I love the idea).
Cook each other a favorite meal.
Give each other a massage.
Take a day off from wedding planning for a relaxation day.
I have some quotes for you too!
If I know what love is, it is because of you. Herman Hesse
The more I think it over, the more I feel that there is nothing more truly artistic than to love people. – Vincent van Gogh
Love does not consist of gazing at each other, but in looking together in the same direction. – Antoine de Saint-Exupery
All you need is love.Love is all you need. -John Lennon (1940-1980)
“The greatest thing
You’ll ever learn
Is just to love
& be loved
In return.” –Nat King Cole
A life lived in love will never be dull -Leo Buscaglia

May your children’s children feel blessed that you fell in love.
May you be blessed beyond measure.
May the twinkle of starlight remind you of the sparkle of each other’s smile.
May the New Year bring great joy and happiness into your life.
May the sight of a snowfall remind you of love’s pure delight.
May the history of Saint Valentine remind you that wedded bliss is worth sacrifice.
May the rocket’s red glare have nothing on the spark of love in your life.
May wedded bliss be yours always.
May you always remember to be thankful for the blessings of God.
This has been fun to think of some wishes!
