We’re doing an advice tree. The tags all have little vintage keys tied to them and the thing that will be holding the tags and pens will say “Keys to a Happy Marriage” or something to that effect. I’m wondering though, is that all I should put? Or should I actually write out WHAT they are supposed to be doing, like write “Leave a word of advice for the couple” or “Advice for the happy couple” beneath the “Keys to a Happy Marriage” thing. I hear about guests not doing the trees or even signing the guestbook, so I’m wondering if I should write something like that to basically walk them through it.. What do you think?

AKA yes they need instructions lol. And omg I stamped “And they lived happily ever after” on my tags too. I’m sad 🙁 I had never seen it before :/

I would definitly leave instructions like the ones already mentioned. You might also want to put up some starter ideas for the guests that get stumped on the spot.
Please leave a special note for __________
If you need some inspiration try,
a wedding wish
advice for the newly weds
a funny story
a past memory
Remember to sign your name and hang your card on the tree
We will be collecting your wishes as a memento of our day
