- Wedding: August 2012
Hello, ladies. I went to my last dress fitting and finally could not take it anymore! The slip under my dress (DB WG3029 with a fit-n-flare slip) was just TOO HOT in the store. I dreaded wearing it on my wedding day (outdoor ceremony in August). After taking the slip off, I did not like the way the dress looked without the poof 🙁
So, I had the alterations lady cut the slip about 6 inches above where the crinoline meets the slip matrial, and she is gong to sew it onto the crinoline part of the dress (it has one layer).
When she pinned the slip part to the dress for me to see, it was AMAZING! The dress looks exactly how I wanted, and it felt soo much cooler 🙂 Perfect for my August outdoor ceremony! If you are having a problem with the heat/slip/poof, ask your alterations lady if this can be done! It cost $30 and is sooo worth it 🙂
