Gosh, your satin dress? It is so flattering on your body, and you look so tiny in it and just…beautiful. Stunning. I have a hard time with the ruffles on you, I feel like it’s too much for your frame. That being said, it’s still beautiful, I just think the satin is better!

I’m not a huge fan of those particular ruffles (too structured for my taste), but I definitely like the ruffled dress better. The satin is just boring, even though the shape is nice and it makes your tushie look amazing.
Something the consultants (and my aunt, who went shopping with me) kept reiterating to me is that no matter what you choose, something about your wedding day look will always look dated twenty years from now. You don’t need to still look chic and modern when you look back on your 50th anniversary- you just need to be wearing something that made you feel beautiful. As long as your hair isn’t a foot tall and you’re not wearing something with puffy sleeves, you should be okay.
So I ended up with the San Patrick Capricho. It was between that, Essense of Australia D1170, and Mori Lee Blu 4816. Obviously I love ruffles. Anyway, the Essense D1170 is a bit of a fusion between your two picks up there. It has the satin and the shape, but also the interest with the ruffles. Just a thought if you really can’t decide.

I like both dresses but especially the satin! It lets you shine through instead of taking over. It is also so classic and you probably wont look back and be like oh that dress is so 2011 or whatever…

I voted for the satin, think it is so classic and elegant and the back is gorgeous. Weird thing is I was just looking up this dress a couple days ago – there is one of these dresses (new) listed in the classifieds for $150!! Might be a good bargain if you decide you want that dress 🙂

I think that the ruffles distract me from really seeing your body, the satin does a much better job of showing off your amazing figure!

I like the fit of the satin better, and if you want it to be more full on the bottom you could always add a crinoline to give it some punch.

I really like the ruffles on you. I don’t think it distracts but just adds a little different. It will also photograph well. The satin is just a lil 2 Plain Jane for me.

I dont LOVE ruffles but I LOVED that dress on you! I like it much better than the satin but I think I like things slightly over the top! They both show if your gorgeous frame though.

I’d say satin fits the church, but honestly if you love your dress why would you care if it is out of style in a few years? All dresses and their styles come and go!
