I am getting married in CUBA october 30, 2015 but I am planning a post reception back in Ontario for the family November 28, 2015.
I am looking to do Royal blue and grey and than tropical flowers for my scheme but for back here I am stumped.. I dont want to do the whole flower thing back here. We are doing a lunc style reception here with food, decorated tables and a bar.. Nothing TOO crazy as the main reception will be taken care of in CUBA.
Neeed help with ideas for the centerpieces that aren’t too costly… PEOPLE keep saying its too much Royal blue if the girls wear royal blue dresses and the guys were grey suits with royal blue tyes.. i didnt think it was.
Any insite… I am doing two receptions here but the cuba one is very minimal work.

I didn’t want my guys to be too matchy matchy with the girls. I found a patterened (paisley) tie that incorporated my girl’s dress color (coral) but wasn’t solid. Their vest was the same color as the suit. I felt like it was just enough color, but not to the extreme of a coral vest and tie.
As for the centerpieces, I woudl incorporate many different colors – white, light blue, dark blue and your royal blue colors. Or, just do all white!

Having the BM’s in blue dresses and the groomsmen wearing a blue tie is not too much blue. Like the pp, I would find a patterned tie, either striped or paisley so it’s a little more interesting.
It can be hard to come up with non- floral ideas for a lunch reception. Candles are pretty much a waste of space.
You could get these cardboard suitcases ( linked to your DW) – place one on each table , top with a chachka like a small bird, a mossball, grapevine ball etc and add a bud vase with just one flower.
sort of like this
or you could collect blue bottles, cluster 3 of them and again have just one flower per bottle
