Talk to the alterations department at DB, they should be well versed in how to take up your dress and keep the hemline (which is beautiful).

My dress has a scalloped hem, and the seamstress said that if I needed it hemmed, she could remove the lace scallops, shorten it & then sew them back on.  Might be a little pricier than a regular hem, but it can be done.
