White by Vera Wang
What I like about Oleg Cassini: beading works, sparkles, and I actually like the one strap its unique and I didn’t want strapless dress.
What I don’t like about Oleg Cassini: its tight, the strap kinda itches and my skin turns red from it, lower neckline
What I like about White by Vera Wang: puffiness and slim bodice (basically the whole shape of the dress), longer train, veil adds to it, I feel comfortable in it and neckine is not too low. I feel like it makes me look slimmer
What I don’t like about White by Vera Wang: no sparkle, maybe too plain? bland?
They are both very pretty in person and Oleg Cassini makes me feel like a princess but White by Vera Wang makes me feel like a bride. I like White by Vera Wang a little better but it costs $700 more (including the longer chapel veil + taxes). Basically what I’m wondering is do you guys think White by Vera Wang is worth $700 more??

I like the Vera better so I would put out the extra $700 for it. Also it’s more comfortable right? You’ll look better the day of because you’ll feel better.

The Vera is beautiful, hello its Vera…. but I think it is eating you alive. I think the second fits you and YOU are wearing the dress, not the other way around

No questuon! If the Vera is more comfortable, go with the Vera. You won’t regret it when you’re wearing it for 6 or 7 hours. If the other is uncomfortable now, it will be miserable later.

I don’t like many one-shoulder gowns but I love that one on you! My vote went to that one. The other one just looked like a big plain ballgown.

yes deff!! Love the first dress.. It look amazing on you!!

I am going to be of no help here because I think they both look the same amount good, and that amount is “very.” 😀

Oh yeah go with the Vera. It looks amazing on you and its timeless. I dont realy like all of the stuff going on with the Oleg, it takes the attention away from you imo.

i am not a fan of that vera wang dress, and i love vera. the “v” waistline was on every wedding dress in the 80’s. there is so much pouf on the hips and behind, it makes you look much bigger in those areas than you are. (please don’t take that the wrong way, i know it’s the dress, not you)
the fit of the oleg is better on you but you are not comfortable so you should disregard it.
i didn’t vote because quite frankly, i would like to see you in other dresses.

I like #2 dress so much more! Isn’t there something they can do about the tight/itchiness? I agree with mypinkshoes about the pouf on hips and behind- it was one of the first things I noticed about the dress.

wow, I’m not sure on this one, but I love the back of the vera……!!!!!! keep us posted!!!!

You have to pick something that will be comfortable for the day from what you wrote I voted for white from looking at them my preference is Oleg with a larger crinoline

@soybang: I never knew that that White by VW had such beautiful detailing on the train! It’s definitely worth the extra $700. I might be a little biased because I’m not a fan of one-shouldered dresses or embroidery, though.
