Hello March 2010 bees,
So I posted a month ago wondering about what I could get done early…I have been a busy bee. I have decided on so many things. So much is picked out. Nothing has been purchased but I have it all picked out. Now, the key to this is NOT changing my mind. Lets see what is done…and share with me what YOU have done already.
Picked out beautiful invitation kit from Michaels
Booked ceremony/reception site including dj and food
Decided to make my own silk flower bouquets and done lots of research
Ordered a custom clay cake topper from Etsy of a sculpture of our doggies!
Invited bridesmaids and man of honor to be in wedding
Asked my brother to officiate
picked out 2 readings for the ceremony
Decided on black, strapless, aline dresses for the girls
Convinced the fiancee that kilts are not the best choice but I will make pocket squares from the family tartan(plaid) and that will be our Irish flair
I picked out what we need to buy from Michaels for the centerpieces
Found a crafty way to dress-up votives using vellum paper and a border punch
Found battery operated flicker lights I can borrow for FREE!
Asked a friend to help create a custom aisle runner
Designed a guestbook page with room for well wishes, questions, drawings etc.
Scheduled a meeting with a photographer
Started a guest list
Picked music for processional/recessional and other special songs we will want
I can picture in my head what the card box will look like after I make it
Registered for a new gmail address (before everything with my new name will be taken)
Notice how nothing is TECHNICALLY done…I am losing my job in June so everything is on hold for now, but the hours and hours of searching online and talking with the FH and friends have led me to know the feel and look of what I want. So much to do but I have made some real progress. I am yearning to be crafty but hesitant to spend any money until this summer when I will find out how hard it will be to find a job.
Give me your "off the top of your head" list of things you have picked out/done/decided on…it feels good to get it out and feel accomplished!
