I tried on dresses for the first time today (eeek!) and ended up with Casablanca 1971, Ivory/Gold…
I signed contract but haven’t placed my order yet. Now im kind of stressing the GOLD. It comes in white/white but i think it may lose that special touch it has, the lace may just blend in too much. Also i CAN’T find any white/white pics online. (Send me if you do please.)
Anyways, I have been planning on a dark purple plum color and green.. I know green will probably not work right with the colors. Purple probably could figure out.
Finally, can my Fiance wear BLACK? I guess i am too much of a visual person, i can’t see all of this in my head.
Here’s my dress!

Oh I love your dress, you look so pretty! I think the plum color and green will go, and I like the gold… It makes it unique.
Very much up to you tho. I could see why it would be a tough choice 🙂

p.s About the black…
My dress is a lightgold to groomsmen are wearing dark charcoal. But yes of course i think your FH can wear black! 🙂

Thank you @crane what is your dress? I NEVER imagined ivory or gold before for my wedding day. I noticed all the samples i tried on were in these colors.

Very pretty! I like the gold, and I think a black suit will look fine with the dress!

Love your dress! and I think that you can still do a plum/green scheme with it.
My dress is also called ‘light gold’ we did tuxes this past weekend and the groom will be in a black tux with champagne/ivory tie and vest.

I love this dress and the color combo! In fact, this is the same dress I bought for my October wedding. I have a question about it though… Did you find that you can see your feet because the satin under layer is shorter than the outer layer? This factor is bothering me, and I didn’t know if this is the way it was meant to be or if my hollow to hem was measured wrong…

I have the same dress. Are you buying a crinoline for under the dress?? I also think that the white/white looks more plain than the gold.
